A Princess (or Villain!) For Every Occasion•

Most princesses - and several of their evil counterparts  - available for your next special occasion or event!

Welcome to A Princess (or Villain!) for Every Occasion. Thanks so much for dropping by!

Do you need a princess or villain to attend your next event? Are you looking to surprise some lucky little ones? Do you want a detail-oriented, courteous, and fun professional to make it happen? If so, you've come to the right place!

About me:  For as long as I can remember, Halloween has been my favorite holiday. Given my love for the season, dressing up was always a must, even if the only people that saw me were my trick-or-treaters. Years ago, after witnessing princess after princess come to the door for candy, I decided it was time to take a break from the scary and join in the fun. I figured if the kids could get excited seeing me as a semi-pretty vampire, devil, or mummy, imagine what they'd think if I could become one of the princesses they idolized.

I've always been a perfectionist, so once the decision was made, it became a mission for me to get the costumes just right and as close to perfect as I could. After picking which one I was going to tackle the following year, I would do tons of research, watch the movies, spend hours online looking at images, and find unique ways to tweak things just enough to make them my own while still getting as close to the best known versions of the originals as I could.

As I perfected each one and transformed myself, presenting the final product to the kids of the neighborhood, I would get told over and over how I should be working at the Parks. That was always nice to hear, but the looks on the little ones' faces as they stopped by and saw the characters they'd just seen on TV or in their books back home standing right in front of them, talking to them, giving them hugs, were enough to make me think that maybe I should be doing something more. Their smiles could have lit up the entire neighborhood, and after being around that for a few hours, all I could think about was how I had the costumes, I was good at becoming the characters, I enjoyed interacting with the kids, why shouldn't I do it more than one day a year and make even more children happy?

One year, after I had done a few consecutive Halloweens with incredible feedback, I was asked by a friend to dress up and attend a birthday party/sleep-over for her daughter and an incredible group of 3-5 year old little girls. It was an absolute hit! I will never forget the looks on their faces when I came around the corner to surprise them. One of the moms immediately booked me for her daughter's next birthday, and word spread from there. I started doing events more often and for different reasons - a special princess drop-by for a sick child, a private birthday party for a mile-stone year, a princess dinner party for some 9-11 year olds, a school's business fair; I've done them all and have enjoyed every minute of every single one. There's nothing like soaking in the pure unadulterated joy of an innocent and knowing that you helped grow that feeling within them.

What do I do: It depends on the venue, the timeframe, the ages of the children, and the expectations of the client, but I read stories, do stenciled and free-hand temporary tattoos with tattoo pens and markers, play games, and do photo shoots. Outside of that, most times I just join in the fun with whatever is going on - a tea party, doll make-believe, drawing, puzzles, nail painting, hair braiding, or just a friendly chat. After all, if you were surprised by a real-life princess or superhero when you were a kid, wouldn't it have been cool to just have them join you in whatever you happened to be in the mood for that day?

So, if you think having a princess or villain drop by your next event would make it even better, I'd love to help you bring your vision to life and brighten up someone's (or several someone's) day!
